Literary Studies 11 gives students the chance to explore literature in more depth while building key learning skills. In this course, students can focus on certain themes, time periods, authors, or parts of the world by studying different types of fiction and nonfiction in various media. They’re encouraged to read thoughtfully and critically in many forms, developing strong thinking and learning skills. The course helps students improve both their reading and writing abilities, as well as their overall English language skills. By closely reading challenging and culturally diverse texts, students strengthen their literacy and grow as informed global citizens with a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.
